It is with deep sadness that I have to inform the HYI Community that Neil Morrison, a trustee and our highly valued present treasurer, died suddenly this month (November) aged just 65 years. We are all still in shock at this very sad news.
Neil has been a dedicated trustee at HYI since 2011 and served as treasurer for the last 5 years. He also supported the charity throughout his time as Headteacher at QEHS from 2008 to 2014.
Neil always had the needs and aspirations of the young people at the heart of his work. He was passionate about young people being supported to achieve their potential in everything they did, both in school and out e.g whilst they were involved in activities at HYI.
His work at HYI was vast and highly valued. He continued to be a trustee of the charity even after he retired, showing just how much the charity meant to him. We are going to miss him massively.
Our thoughts are with his wife and his two sons at this incredibly sad time.
